The journey was not a choice but I am glad that I do not need to make a choice or to search for the chance to join.
All the while, my role was a participant and just to pass my free time. The theory was delivered in simple words but it took me a few years to understand the meaning. Especially after I started to work and when dealing with people become unavoidable. I start to observe people’s reaction and how adult interact with their children or subordinate. I think the best gift I learn is to acknowledge our mistake and to be able to change it.
Xing Zhi has developed over the years and has a number of volunteer. It is necessary to have a systematic way to guide the fellow volunteers. The main reason is to create an image and to protect the image of XZ.The secondary reason is to allow the volunteer to learn even when Mr.Tsen is overseas or to pass down the message in the future.For an example, Tzu Chi Foundation with 10 mil volunteers over 47 countries. How they manage the huge volunteer.
Firstly, Discipline. The members need to follow strict rule when wearing the uniform.
Secondly, volunteer education system. They need to continue studies/learning to be able to recognize as a senior volunteer and to guide new volunteer. Share of information in the form of daily master sharing, monthly study group annually and enhancement camp.
Thirdly, activity is a way to train the skills however self-education/improvement is the most important thing that we should focus in.The volunteer should study books and listen to CD to improve their selves before they are able to lead overseas camp
